Illustration Friday: Worry

Here’s my contrib for this week’s word “Worry”.
For those of you that need a refresher, here’s the rhyme:

Three blind mice,
Three blind mice
See how they run,
See how they run!

They all ran after
The farmer’s wife
She cut off their tails
With a carving knife
Did you ever see
Such a sight in your life
As three blind mice?

S’ long everyone. See you next week.

Illustration Friday: Wide

For all you meat eaters out there, open “wide” for that big juicy burger! After seeing the movie “Iron Man” this weekend, seeing it inspired me to put together this image. There is a scene (I don’t want to give anything away from the plot to anyone who hasn’t seen it) where a character in the movie was craving a great American ‘burger … in a bad way! Yum Yum.

Introducing “Stuck in the Middle Seat”

I am really excited to share the following news with you. The first book that I’ve ever illustrated is complete and probably being printed as I write this blog entry! I teamed up with writer and internationally known public speaker Doug Lipp, who was the former head of corporate training at Walt Disney Studios. After one year of collaboration which includes over fifty illustrations, we are proud to present our completed book. It is published by Hickethier Press and is entitled “Stuck in the Middle Seat, Why Traveling Can Really Suck”.

This is the book’s summary (in Doug’s words): “Spending too much time on the road? Lost your luggage? Missed a flight? Sick of hotel rooms and taxi cabs? This book is for you! Join our two luckless travelers, Bob and Lucy as they experience one travel nightmare after another. Like you, they’ve been “on the road” one too many trips and never seem to catch a break. So, if you think you’re having a rough time right now, just look at them and realize things could be a lot worse! Stuck in the Middle Seat will become your welcomed oasis during a stress-filled journey.”

Sounds fun? Click here to buy it from Amazon.com. Thanks in advance for your support!

Illustration Friday: Seed

For this week’s word “seed”, here’s something I drew for a Berkeley, CA radio station t-shirt competition. It didn’t win … but if you do want to see the winner … scroll down.

Tada … this one did win not the t-shirt but kind of the runner up for stickers. It was displayed in all it’s glory all over town on a bright pink background. I called it “Radio Junkie”. Check out the pre-MP3 player when we all used “walkmans”. Notice how it (the walkman) mimics the guy’s face, purely by chance, I didn’t plan it that way.

Maybe the topic will inspire me to draw something else later this week. This is just something I wanted to share with all my friends out there. That’s all for now, see you next week.
